For every image in the database, there’s complete metadata with the source, copyright holder, caption, and keywords. This top-quality product’s content and usability rate a ten all the way. "The twelve books in the Britannica Discovery Library offer parents and teachers a valuable, engaging resource for home and pre-primary libraries. The strength of the series is that a child can literally open any book to any page and get a brief informative "snapshot" of information that is likely to invite discussion and lead to further exploration. The full colour illustrations are lively and attractive and the text is concise and vivid." - Review by Mary Hynes-Berry, Ph.D., Erikson Institute for Early Childhood Development January 2005

Ready, Set, Research! With Britannica Student Encyclopedia
"The Ready, Set, Research Guide is a comprehensive resource for both teachers and Media specialists. It could easily stand alone and be used for planning and teaching the research process but will also serve as a valuable tool along with Encyclopedia Britannica Online. From a library/media specialist perspective it really covers all the essential information we need our students to know. Breaking down the process and including exactly what needs to be covered in each will give educators a place to start and good mini-lesson ideas. The research steps in the guide are aligned with what we teach and know as best practice. I was impressed with how much information is covered, yet it is easy to read and understand; never overwhelming. Dewey decimal is even mentioned along with a great section on citing sources. It is very user friendly for teachers/librarians, students and parents. Ready, Set, Research gets a high recommendation from me!" - Ami Uselman, Brushy Creek Elementary School Librarian, Round Rock, Texas
